CR84FN 53

Morning all, today brings us another fab new colour challenge from CR84FN!
This fortnight we are asking you to create using the colours Pink, Aqua and Neutral.

 

I have made a card using some lovely papers from Pink Paislee London Market Collection.

 I used a Craftwork Cards card base, and covered with the crown patterned paper, and cut around the shaped base.

 Then I cut a piece of the the aqua damask patterned paper to size, and zig zag stitched around the edges, and inked the edges with Sea Breeze chalk ink.

I then cut two labels in the pink damask and neutral script patterned papers, using nestabilities Labels 1, and stiched these together.

I then added a Waltzingmouse Stamps sentiment, and a butterfly cut using Memory box dies and pink and Aqua Core'dinations card. Finally I added some tiny pink pearls.

Morning all, today brings us a new challenge from Charisma Cardz, and this week we are asking to see projects made using the colours Blue, Black and White.




I have stamped the harlequin design from Waltzingmouse Stamps in Memento Blue Danube, and Tuxedo Black, added some licorice twine from The Ribbon Reel, a sentiment from Stampin' Up and some black pearls.

DYSU #69 - Be Inspired by the D.T!

Hi all, over at DYSU today we have a bit of a different challenge for you lovely bloggers!

We are asking you to ....

I was very lucky and got to play with some lovely images from our generous sponsors. So I made two cards for todays challenge!

My first card is using a beautiful image from A Day For Daisies, called Fashionable Feather.




The image is so striking, with her feathered head piece, it reminded me of peacock feathers, so that was the colour scheme I chose. I coloured her with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.



I cut her out using nestie ovals, and layered her onto some new memory Box papers.



The card base is from Craft work Cards, and I stuck some patterned paper onto the base from My Mind's Eye, and cut around the shape.


Here's another close up to show the glittery shine from the stickles I added.
The sentiment is from Uniko Studios Extra Time stamp set. Finally I added some buttons, twine and gems.

I was so inspired by myself (ha-ha!) I decided to make another card! This time using the very sweet image Me and My teddy from Little Darlings.




I have coloured him with Promarkers and Flexmarkers, and very simply cut him with nesties, layered him onto some patterned paper from my scrap box, added a WMS sentiment and some gems and voila!


He was such a sweetie to colour, now I just have to find a sweet little guy to give it to!



Finally, I have one more card to share, using one of our fabulous sponsor's images. I have used a background from The Paper Shelter, called Tango, and layered this onto some red and blue Core'dinations card.



The little butterflies are from a stamp set by Kanban, and the paper roses and gems from stash.

CR84FN #52 WK 2

Good morning all, it's week 2 of the pretty colour palette over at CR84FN.



I have made an Anniversary card for my husband, it was our 15th wedding anniversary last Wednesday! I had already made him a card, but it's a bit cutesy and a bit fussy, and I know he's not such a big fan of that style!

It wasn't until I had constructed this card, whilst deciding on a sentiment to go in the pretty frame, that I decided to make it his Anniversary card.

Yes, it's pink, and has a flower on it, but, this is fairly understated for me!



I chose the pretty papers from My Mind's Eye 'Blush' paper stack, as the colours are perfect for this challenge.

I took the pink patterned paper, and stitched around the edge of it using a fancy stitch.
I then created a smaller panel using the sweet birds on the bunting, and thought the sentiment 'Such a Lovely Day' was perfect for an Anniversary card, or for a wedding.




I then stitched this panel onto some tan card, then stamped the pink frame onto some damask paper from the same stack.



The sentiment and little hearts are stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa, and are from Waltzingmouse Stamps Sweethearts set.

The pretty frame is from Holiday Labels 14, also from WMS.

I added a Pink Tea Rose and some Twill Champagne Stripe both from the Ribbon Reel, and added some little pink pearls to the label, and little punched butterfly.

DYSU #68 - Stripes

Good morning all, it's Thursday, and that means it's another fab challenge from DYSU!

This week, we are looking for...



Stripes! I love this inspiration picture, I would love to know how exactly they knitted around that tree! Lol!

Today, I have used a fab image from The Stamping Boutique, called Cinthia's Rainbow.


I coloured her with Promarkers, and mounted her onto some bright pretty papers from Wild Rose Studios, called Spring Fling.



I added lots of stickles around the image for some lovely sparkle, and added some yellow Baker's Twine and a Tiny Tag.

This month's theme is new beginnings, so New Baby, New Home, New Job etc.

Using the sketch from this week's Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge, I have made a New Home card.



I haven't used traditional House type stamps for this card, I fancied having a play with some backgrounds and seeing what I came up with!



I stamped the stripes and spot background directly onto a white card base, then stamped the Harlequin pattern in two different inks onto some pearlescent cream card,



I stamped the fancy doily over the Heart frame, and stamped the smaller doilies in paler blues for some contrast.


I added the sentiment, and two little flourishes, then stamped the little flourishes around the die cut image - thankfully they fit perfectly!

Finally I added some ivory button twine and little bow, then finished off with some clear gems for some sparkle!

The Ribbon Reel #26 - Going Green

Happy Monday all, today brings us a new fortnightly challenge from The Ribbon Reel.
This week, it's my turn to choose the inspiration, and I've gone for a Going Green theme, of recycling, and using any or all of the colours in the inspiration pic below, including ribbon or twine.




For my recycled element, I used a page from a Dior catalogue that I was sent before Christmas. It has some gorgeous photography and rich colours in it, so I kept it!

This is the page I used, and also a small cake box from Halloween that has a lovely deep kraft tone and texture.



Out of the page I die cut some rolled roses using a Marianne Creatables die, and cut some leaves out of the kraft box using the matching leaf die.




And here is my card created using recycled items:



I have black embossed the fancy background using Waltzingmouse Stamps Florentine Frippery, onto some matt gold card.

I then stamped the matching label in memento, and sentiment from Rescue Remedies Additions, also from WMS.



I rolled the roses, and added some pearly brads to the centres.
Before adding to the card I wrapped some Gold Silky Crush and Seam Binding in Charcoal Grey, both from The Ribbon Reel shop.



I sat the rolled roses on top of some die cut kraft leaves, and finally added some charcoal grey pearls to the petal point edge.

DYSU #67 - Bling/Glitter

Morning all, today brings us a new challenge from DYSU, and this week we would like to see your projects with some...



..Glitter or Bling! Yep, crack open those neglected bottle of glitter, Stickles, and packs of gems and go for the glow!

I have made a card using both glitter and gems, I love the bling, so this card was as easy as peas for me to do!



I've used the delightful Summer Angel image from Lili of the Valley, and coloured her in using Promarkers.


I've added some Glamour dust to her wings for that all important sparkle!



I cut her out using a Nestie oval, and then layered onto a pink doily mat cut using a beautiful die from Cheery Lynn, Polynesian Sails. Such a gorgeous die cut.




The backing paper is from Kaisercraft, and the pink lace and pink velvet ribbon underneath the die cut are from The Ribbon reel, as is the Ivory button twine bow.

I added some Tiny Tags from PTI for a little sentiment, and finished off with lots of gems around the die cut.
