Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge #2

Hi all, another post from me today!  Please scroll down to see my card for this week's challenge for The Ribbon Reel.

I almost ran out of time to make this for the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge I've been sooo busy! Anyway, I took a little stampy time out this evening before I go back to work (our store is having a re-fit, and they need staff to go in for an hour to move stuff etc.)

Look at this fab colour combo:

Well, these colours just shout Christmas to me! So I made a Christmas card.

I did a bit of random stamping with the WMS Big Blooms -Poinsettias set in Stampin' Up! Cherry cobbler and Raspberry Ripple, and Memento Pistachio and Pine Cone inks.

I then made a kraft card base, and a Raspberry Ripple base, and punched the edge with a Fiskars punch. The sentiment is also from WMS Compliments of the Season II set - stamped in Espresso Truffle but I didn't think it was bold enough so I added some glamour dust to it. Not sure if I like this or not yet! Finally I added some red striped ribbon.

I've kept this purposefully flat for posting, our rates have gone up so much recently, I'm going to have to try to keep it a bit more CAS this year!

TRR #63

Hi all, it's time for a new challenge from The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog. This week, Debbie is our hostess, and has chosen this Autumnal picture, with a theme of using Flowers, Ribbon and sheet music in your designs.

I have made a card using some Musical note ribbon, and Orange Spot ribbon wrapped around a kraft card base embossed with a wood-grain folder.

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps, and the Orange Cherry Blossoms, Off-White Gardenia and leafy stick pins are from The Ribbon Reel shop.

Serendipity Stamps #20 - Watercolour

Hi all, it's time for a new challenge over at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog! The theme this fortnight is to use Watercolouring on your creation.

 I have used some watercolour pencils on this lovely image of these Quail and chose to go for an autumnal colour scheme.

 After colouring I went over the image gently with a wet paintbrush to create this slightly more watercolour colour effect. The sentiment is also from the S.S. shop 'Live each Season..'

I then cut out using a Stampin' Up! die. and layered onto some Rich Razzleberry card. I used some new papers from My Mind's Eye, and layered some plum pleated ribbon, lace and twine topped with a flower.

Hi all, we have another fun challenge over at The Ribbon Reel this next fortnight. Debbie is our hostess this week and has chosen this beautiful inspiration pic -

So we would like to see your creations using pink and a flower and ribbon.

For my card this week, I have used the lovely Three Dresses image from Serendipity Stamps.

I left the image uncoloured, and teamed it with some pretty floral paper from My Mind's Eye, and from The Ribbon Reel Shop some White Lace, Pink Velvet ribbon, Natural Button Twine, Made With Love charm, and some Rose Petal Seam Binding.

SSCB #19 - Tri-Shutter Card

Hi all, I'm back today with a creation for this Fortnight's Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog.
For the next two weeks, we would like to see your take on a Tri-Shutter fold card, using at least one Serendipity Stamps image or die. To make the base, I just googled it, and followed the instructions, it was surprisingly easy to make.

For my card I made a festive one, using some lovely sentiment panels, and stamping my own background. This is how it looks closed:

For the background I used Snowflake Flourish small, which is on Sale right now for ...25c - Yep, $0.25c... it's one of my favourite Christmas/Winter stamps, so so pretty!

 For the sentiment panels I used 'May Your Days'  and 'Peace on Earth', both available from the Serendipity Stamps Shop. This is the view fro the right..

and the view from the left, I love that it looks like two different cards because of the panels.

And here it is flat!

Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge #1

Morning all! What a beautiful day it is here in sunny Berkshire! We have been so lucky with the weather this year haven't we?!

Well, today sees the start of a new challenge, especially to gladden the hearts of us Waltzingmouse Stamps fans! I was broken hearted when the last Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge finished last year, and I've been missing my WMS sketchy inspirations very much indeed.

So, a big thank you to Deborah Frings and Tara Cardwell for starting this new challenge up - I am determined to enter each one!

 Here's the fabby sketch:

For colour inspiration, I am following the lovely autumnal colours of Green and Rust from this week's Less is More Challenge, and opting for a CAS design today, and I love how it turned out!

I used the beautiful feather images from Fine Feather set, stamped in Memento Pistachio and Stampin' Up! Gumball Green and Lucky Limeade.

The sentiment is stamped using Memento Potter's Clay, and for a little sparkle I added some green gems and a little rust coloured twine bow.

That's all from me today - back to school means back to weekend clubs too - so i have to take my children to their music classes in half an hour, I better get dressed lol!

TRR #61 - White on White

Hi all, it's been a long time since I have created here for The Ribbon Reel challenge. Due to building/decorating work in my house, plus school holidays and work, I haven't had time for the things I really love to do. My friends keep telling me it will all be worth it in the end, and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, but, I can't wait until I can finally get all my craft stuff out and create properly!

Anyway, this week is my turn to host, and I have chosen the Theme of White on White, plus a flower and lace. I dragged all of my stuff out from under the stairs cupboard, dusted off my Cuttlebug, and got creating! I struggle with this theme, so I chose this challenge to, well, challenge myself! here is this picture that inspired me:

 And here is my creation:

Inspired by the picture, and by my lovely Blog Friend Sasha (do pop over to her blog, she makes the most beautiful things!) I have made a hanger, using some Spellbinders heart dies and some new fancy label dies. My intention is to hang it in my craft-room when it's finally finished.

For the hanger I have used some White Crochet Lace, and creamy spotted ribbon, topped with an off white Gardenia, all available from The Ribbon Reel Shop.

 Around the heart, I trimmed it with some beautiful White Box Pleat Sheer, and edged with some glamour dust. Finally I added a couple of off white Hydrangea Daisies to the heart. The sentiment is an old wooden stamp, from My Sentiments Exactly, stamped in London Fog.
