DYSU - #72 - Landscapes

Hi all, today brings us another fresh challenge from DYSU!

This week we are looking for.....

Landscapes in your creations!

I will admit, I am not terribly good at these type of cards, I just can't think of Landscapes or scenes!
I gave it a go, using my Teeny Trees set from Waltzingmouse Stamps, and Frame It, using the masking method.

I used a variety of inks to create the hills, trees, leaves and the little bird.

I added a piece of Twisted Burlap Cord in Olive from The Ribbon Reel, one of our sponsors for this week.

The Ribbon Reel # 28

 Good Monday Morning all, today I  have a card for this fortnight's new challenge over at The Ribbon Reel!

Lenet has chosen this week's pretty picture inspiration, cupcakes and tea, yum!

Lenet has asked we use the colours in the picture as inspiration, with ribbon/twine and some dry embossing...which I forgot oops, sorry Lenet!

I took my inspiration from the pretty rose decorations on the cakes and the beautiful pink bow on the cake, combined with a tea theme.

The papers are from a Dovecraft set called Tea Party, and the label has been stamped using my favourite Waltzingmouse Stamps, Afternoon Tea and Very Vintage Labels 10.

I created two Bridal White Satin loops, and an oversized Pink Silk bow, used two Pink Hybrid Tea Roses and some Ivory Loop Trim, all wonderful products from The Ribbon Reel shop.

CR84FN #54

 Morning all, today brings us a fresh new colour challenge from CR84FN!

This week, we have a minty fresh colour combo, that is one of my favourite schemes ever! I love to use blues and greens on my projects, and the graphic was so inspiring. The photos are courtesy of Style Me Pretty.com, full of pretty bridal inspiration, and fabulous pics to look at, even if you're not getting married!

 

 Foe my card, I have used the fab dress form image from Flourishes Feminine Charm set, and coloured with Promarkers.

 

I cut and layered the image onto some patterned papers by Memory Box and some blue Core'dinations card.

 

  

I cut a vine leaf strip using Papertrey Inks Vine Leaf Border in the blue card, and created a smaller panel from the papers and card and attached a stripy mint button.

 

I added two PTI Tiny Tags in co-ordinating colours, and added some gems and natural crochet lace.

Charisma Cardz - Pretty in Pink!

 Happy Thursday all! Today brings us another fab challenge from Charisma Cardz!

This week we want to see your creations all Pink and Girly!
I love using pink for my creations, so this was just up my street!

I have used a lovely sweet sponsor image from Digi Doodle Shop, and coloured with Promarkers:

I cut the image using oval nesties, and layered onto some pretty patterned paper from Wild Rose Studios.

I added a ribbon bow from Maya Road, and the leaves were cut using a   die.

I added some pink gems for some sparkle, and some candi dots from Craftwork Cards, and finished off with some PTI Tiny Tags.

DYSU #71 - USE A FLOWER

Hi all, today brings us another challenge from DYSU, and this week, we would like to see you use
a Flower in your designs.

I have made a card using a lovely image from one of our generous sponsor, The Greeting Farm. I have been given the gorgeous Autumn Fairy to play with, isn't she lovely? 

I have teamed her with some lovely polka dot papers from Wild rose Studios, and layered her onto a mat cut using a Marianne Creatables frame die.

I added some Stickles to her wings for some sparkle and shine.

To finish off I added some white ruffled sheer ribbon along the side, and tied some purple button twine around the middle of it with a Tiny Tag and sentiment. The hand made flowers are made using the floral dies that came with the Marianne frame.

WMSC & PDCC

Hi all, it seems like it's been a while since I have played along with a couple of my favourite challenges. I'm finding that I have less time these days, and before I know it, another week has flown by!

Well, I have missed the Waltzingmouse sketch challenge the last couple of weeks, and I haven't played at the Play Date Cafe for way longer than that! So this week's new challenges from them were just the thing to get my motivation and mojo going!

I have based my card on this fabby sketch by the very talented Kelly Schirmer:

I have made a Wedding Day card for a special friend I made through blogging - yes I mean YOU Miss Ruby McGuire!

I'm kind of hoping that Ruby will miss this post, but if you do get here, Congratulations to you both, I'm so happy for you!

So following the sketch, I created the doily using the little crown builder from the Dainty Doilies Sml set from WMS. The papers are from My Mind's Eye Miss Caroline set (I Heart those papers!) and Melissa Frances 5th Avenue blue damask patterned paper. I layered the papers directly onto the shaped card by Craftwork Cards, and just trimmed around the edge.

I added some grey silky crush from The Ribbon Reel, and some Pink Velvet Ribbon, also from TRR.
I added a beautiful big rose, (from TRR) slightly sponged with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink, and as a final flourish I added some gems, pink pearls and some grey pearl drops - well it is a wedding card, and if you can't use gems and pearls together for a wedding I don't know when you can!

I really enjoyed making this, mainly because it's for someone special about to have a very special day!

DYSU #70 - Circles

Morning all, today brings us another fun challenge over at DYSU!

This week we want to see...

 

....Circles on your Projects!

I have made a card using a gorgeous sentiment from Crafty Sentiments, using their Quotes and Phrases for all set.

I have layered some lovely papers from My Mind's Eye, and some tan Bazzill, and punched two of the panels with a Fiskars punch.

 

I cut the sentiment using circle nesties, and layered onto a doily cut using a Marianne Designs die cut.

Finally I added a butterfly and some pearls.
