Serendipity Stamps - Thanksgiving.

Hi all today is blog hop day with the Serendipity Stamps Design Team.

This week, Mary has asked us to make some thanksgiving items, a napkin ring, place card and a Thanksgiving invite.

I have use the love Quilted Pumpkin image coloured with Promarker, and layered onto some Naturals Vanilla cardstock, and some pretty patterned papers from wild Rose Studio.

I made the card shape using Nestabilities Labels 25. I added some natural Hemp Twine and some little green Candi dots from Creaftwork Cards to the bows.

I stamped in Frayed Burlap Distress ink the pumkin and cut out, layered onto some patterned paper, and added to a piece of Naturals Vanilla card rolled into a ring for the napkin.

Finally I made a little name card, with a partial stamp of the pumpkin across the middle of the patterned paper.

TRR # 39

Hi all, it's a new challenge over at the ribbon reel challenge Blog today, and this week we are asking for Shabby Neutrals.

I have made a card using some Melissa Frances papers, and Waltzingmouse Stamps, embellished with some yummy products from the Ribbon Reel Shop!

 

I have used a Naturals Ivory cardstock from Stampin' Up!, and layered some Melissa Frances Attic Treasures Paper onto some kraft card.

I stamped the Waltzingmouse label 25 in Memento Toffee Crunch ink onto some M.F. polka dot paper, and stamped the WMS sentiment from Say it with Style in Frayed Burlap ink. I added two Roses and Ivory Silk pearly hearts to the label, both from The Ribbon Reel.

I then ruffled some cream Silk ribbon, topped with Ivory Mini Pom Pom trim and Ivory Lace & Pearls trim, all from the Ribbon Reel.

DYSU 93 - Anything with Wheels

Hi all, today I have a card for today's new challenge over at DYSU! This week, we want to see anything with wheels on your card or projects!

I have used this sweet little skater boy, called Skateboard Oli from Jellypark Designs.

I teamed him up with some Papermania papers, and some teal twine. He is coloured with Promarkers, and layered onto a blue Core'dinations mat.

I added two PTI Tiny Tags topped with a teal gem for a little sparkle.

CR84FN64 Wk # 2

Good morning all, it's week two of our fresh colour challenge at CR84FN this week, where we would like to see your lovely creations of yellow, green and blue.

This week, I have chosen some beautiful Prima patterned paper to do the hard work for me! I then just chose some co-ordinating ribbon and lace, and a sentiment to match!

I have cut a piece of the D.P to size, and stitched together with some Bazzill Bling green cardstock.

I then cut two labels using PTI's Mat Stack One and Two dies, and stamped the sentiment from their matching Mat Stack Two stamps. I sponged around the edges of the layered label with some Blue Sky sponge ink, and added a couple of gems.

Inside, I added another panel of the pretty paper, with a label to write a greeting. This is a relatively flat card, a real departure for me!

DYSU # 92 - Warm Colours


 Hi all, it's a brand new challenge over at DYSU today, and this week, we would like to see you using Warm Colours on your creations! With the definite onset of Autumn here (the trees are turning such beautiful colours!) it's a great time to get inspired by nature, or your favourite wooly scarf!

I have made a card for my brother-in-law, for my children to give to him. I have used a couple of Papertrey Ink stamp sets, Havest berries and Tiny Tags.

 

 

I stamped the ginkyo leaves in Dried Marigold distress ink, Memento Potter's Clay and Fired Brick distress inks, then added some shading with a paintbrush using Frayed Burlap Distress ink.

I then embossed a panel of Naturals card, using a woodgrain folder,  onto which I had rubbed a Versamark pad. After running through my cuttlebug, I sprinkled some Stampendous Aged Gold embossing powder to create this aged wood effect within the dry embossed area. It's so effective, and I will be using this technique again!

 

I then adhered the leaves to a smaller panel of card, distressed around the edges with Sahara Sand ink.

I then added a red stripy bow (from The Ribbon Reel) and added a tiny tag. I finished off with some red pearls.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop - Scor Pal Project

 Hi all, today I have a creation for the Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop. This week, the Design Team have been asked to create something using a Scor-Pal - I have used my trusty Martha Stewart scoring board!

I have made a Christmas wine bottle wrapper - we do tend to give gifts of whisky and other spirits for Christmas, so I think I will be making a few more of these, so much cheaper than buying ready made ones!

To recreate this bottle holder you will need to start with some sturdy 12 x 12 card.

Then using the bone folder, score at 2 1/2 ", 5 1/2 ", 8", and 11".

Turn the card 90' and score along 21/2" to create the bottom folds.

Fold along all score lines, and snip the folds along the bottom as shown:

Add some sturdy scor-tapealong the edges. My boo-boo - I added tape to the fourth bottom panel on the right hand side - this will be the base of your wine holder, so try not to do this1 However, I just added a piece of patterned paper to the bottom, so it worked out ok!

After assembling, this is what you should end up with!

so, now you can decorate your holder in any way you wish! I chose to go with a christmas theme, and taking some Real Red Stampin' Up! card, I stamped the beautiful snowflake flourishes and embossed with Stampendous Aged Silver powder.

I added a tag stamped with Tis The Season in Cottage Ivy ink onto some Naturals ivory card, and sponged around the edges with Sahara Sand ink. Added some little red gems for a bit of sparkle and a large gold wired bow.

The snowflakes really shine, and have a beautiful aged effect with this embossing powder, to which I also added some clear gems for a bit more sparkle!

I cut a handle using some of the patterned paper and some of the green for a mat, and attached using some pearly brads and lots of adhesive!

It's surprisingly strong!

WMSC #117, cQc #156, The Pretty Little Ribbon shop..

Hi all, this is my second post for today, if you are looking for my card for The Ribbon Reel Challenge, please scroll down.

I saw the gorgeous colour pallette over at colourQ this weekend, and I just had to play along!
I combined this with the wonderful sketch over at Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge, and the new challenge at The Pretty Little Ribbon Shop, which is asking for the colours of autumn. Perfect!

And here's my take:

I have made a card using four WMS stamp sets - Compact sentiments, Big Blooms, Text It! and Bountiful Baskets.

I stamped the background using the smaller blooms from the Big Blooms set, stamped in Dried Marigold and Memento Potter's Clay inks to mirror the Dusty Durango and Pumpkin Pie colours.
I then stamped the text panel in Frayed Burlap to mirror the soft Suede colour, and the card base and mats are Rich Razzleberry card. I need to get me some more S.U inks!

I stamped the little WMS basket in Frayed Burlap, and tinted with some antique Linen.

I then stamped some separate little blooms, and cut them out. Arranged these 'in' the basket, and attached to an oval die cut layered onto a scalloped oval.

Inside, I added another piece of the stamped floral background with some white card to write the message. I had a spare little bloom, so added that, and stamped the sentiment in Frayed Burlap using a WMS sentiment.

Finally, I wrapped some two tone hemp for a bit more 'soft suede', tied a couple of bows, and added a pumpkin coloured gem.

I was pleasantly surprised by these colours, I would never have thought to use them together.
