Play Date Cafe #42, Waltzingmouse Competition

Hi all, I have a little creation today made using one of the FREE templates available from Waltzingmouse Stamps. They are running a little competition over there to create something using one of their free templates, and you could be in with a chance to win one of Clare's fabby stamp sets! So if you're not familiar with Clare's lovely work, pop over and have a peek, you won't be disappointed!

So, I thought I may as well make a start of Christmas gift giving (as everyone else seems to be doing in blogland!) and I have made a little giftcard holder. The colours I've used were taken from the Play Date Cafe challenge this week, which just remind me of mint choc chip ice-cream! Yum!

Here is the pic:

And here is my gift-card:

I have used a Martha Stewart Brights paper stack for the whole card, and all stamps used are Waltzingmouse Stamps Gingerbread Joy.

Inks used are Memento Rich Cocoa and Colourbox Chalk inks in white, then embossed the sentiment circle and gingerbread girl in a shimmery powder, looks very pretty with the sun on it.

Added some star gems and rhinestones for some shiny bling, and used a new border punch I bought last week whilst on holiday in the New Forest, from a wonderful shop called Emerald Crafts - it's a leaf design, but on this it looks like ice.

This was the third attempt for this template, and I nearly gave up! Looking at it now, I still need to trim it up a bit, but I will do that later!

Thanks for looking and have a great day.

Pauline xx
