WOYWW #67

Hi bloggers, I am joining the fun on WOYWW today, I've always felt too ashamed of my mess to participate before now lol, but it's a bit tidier today than usual!

I don't have a dedicated craft space as such, I tend to use my dining room, then clear away everything for the weekend where we all eat together.

So, on first inspection, not looking too bad huh?

However, on even closer inspection, you can see I've had an issue with the old glitter going back into the glitter pot - you know, the one where the pot falls over, makes a huge mess, you walk out of the room etc etc!

So, here's a little proud mother moment - my 8 yr old has made a card for my best friend who is turning the big 4-0 on Sunday, and we are going to London to shop and see some sights, and take in a show, Wicked, which we are really looking forward to. I helped to cut the dies in my cuttlebug, and the glitter glue on the numbers, I hope she will like it.

To the bottom left is the card I am in the process of making, just got to wait for the glittered numbers on my craft mat to dry then I can assemble.

Thanks for dropping by, have a great day,

Pauline xx

So sweet of your little one to make a card for your friend. It's hard to contain glitter. I think it has a mind of it's own. Lol ~jeni (118)

Oh yes, glitter everywhere!! I decant my glitters into larger (meant for food storage) pots with lids, I'll show some one Wednesday. Saves the mess.
If you live in Thatcham, you must go to the Newbury shows each year - I love it!!

It'll be worth spilt glitter - it's looking fab from here - and my word , how long is your table! Buy a few plastic square pots from the Range and the glitter pot problem will be over. I've got a load, about 2" square - they don't knock over because they're squat and they have a big square opening for pouring stuff in. Actually though, I bought them because I liked the bright colours of the lids!! Welcome to WOYWW - we are geographically close, which is always fun to fins out when you're on the big old web!

That is one big desk.. wow.. I love glitter too.. you can't leave that open for a second.. its just can't help its self but spill all over.. lol I started putting my favorite glitter that I use the most in Glad food Containers so that I can use it over the contaner and then put the lid right back on..

Welcome to WOYWW. You will love it here. It's addictive. Your daughter is quite the crafter (with help from Mom of course). I even got a bit of glitter on my finger and now it's on my keyboard. Something to remember you by (grin).

I've tried to leave you a comment several times and get a 503 error. Not sure what's wrong with blogger, but I hope this goes.

You do so well to organise being on and off the dining table. It gives a great space. Welcome to WOYWW!

Hi Pauline: Your friend will absolutely love this card. I must say, I missed the opportunity to see Wicked when it came to my town a while back. I really would like to see it before the year's up. I heard nothing, but good things. Hope you have a wonder time in London. It's been a while since I last visited. As for the ribbon I simply love. I purchased it at www.PrairieBirdBoutique.esty.com. The price is good and the colors are wonderful.

No need to be embarrassed with a gorgeous workspace like that. Lots of loveliness going on and hope we get to see some more next week.

You are not alone, I have no craft table while I lived in New York City for 8 years, the kitchen counter was my crafting space, and I had to clear every time we had meals.
I think your 8 year old is very creative, must be from mom's!
