PDCC 132

Morning all, today I have a card for this week's Play Date Cafe colour challenge.
This week it's a colour splash, Black, White and Mustard.

I have made a Home Sweet Home card, for a friend to give to a relative who has been away from home for a long time due to family illness, so not a new home, but a welcome home type card.

I have used the sweet little house and sentiment from Waltzingmouse Stamps Sewing Box Hugs set, stamped in Tuxedo Black onto some white card, and cut with nesties.

The knit background is also from Waltzingmouse Stamps, Faux Fun and the mustard swiss dot backing is Bazzill card, stitched with some black thread.
I coloured the windows using Mustard, Gold and Apricot promarkers, and added some mustard gems to them.

I finished off the petal point edge with some tiny black gems.

I would like to enter this into to following challenges:

The Play Date Cafe

 Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

Pauline, this is the sweetest welcome home card. :) I like the real stitching you did, to go with the stitched look of the little house.

THanks for playing with us at the Cafe, my dear!

I feel badly for not getting over here to visit more often. With 3 DTs worth of commenting and a busy life schedule right now, I'm stretched so thin! I hope all is well with you, and here's a BIG HUG for you. I miss you!

Hi there. Thanks for the book recommendations. My daughters loved the Alex Rider books and the Hunger Games. That Shakespeare bio sounds interesting. And, don't worry about sounding nerdy to me. One of the most interesting books I have read recently was the history of the Oxford dictionary--http://www.amazon.co.uk/Professor-Madman-Insanity-English-Dictionary/dp/0060839783/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1337783633&sr=1-1
