This week, Lenet has chosen this fab pic to inspire us - well I love cake, and I love purple! She asks that we use the colours in the photo and use Ruffles in our creations.
And here's my take:
I began by stamping a doily background using Waltzingmouse Stamps in a variety of purples - Wisteria Wonder from Stampin' Up!, Milled Lavender distress ink and Elderberry from Memento.
I then stamped the fab cake image from Waltzingmouse Stamps in the same inks including Shaded Lilac and Tattered Rose.
I then added some Sheer Box Pleat White trim also from The Ribbon Reel to the bottom of the card, and added a sentiment from the WMS set.
I am entering this into this month's Waltzingmouse Blog party, which wants Doilies in our creations.

A royal cake with a regal card to match, Pauline! The nestie frame around it reminds me of a crown! Love the purple doily background, so festive with this card! Gorgeous matting of each layer, too...and I see a peek of matching doilies on the inside! Why do I always neglect my card innards?! :)

Can you believe I just went cake tasting with my son and his fiance and there was a wedding cake in ombre just like yours (only orange colors)? How neat that you have created such a cute card and added that great ruffled ribbon too. I love it!
Yes the design is fab and I love that cake but my fave part are the colors of ink you used. Different shades and different brands and it looks amazing. Love love love the doily background!
