WMFC #11

http://waltzingmousefanaticschallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

Morning all! Well, we had a rough night last night didn't we?? We have had two fence sides come down in our garden due to the storm last night - there are still high winds today, and coupled with the heavy downpour last night, many local properties here in Berkshire have been flooded. We are lucky that the fencing was the only damage for us, my heart goes out to those who have lost their homes and businesses. Wherever you are today, stay safe, I'm not going out unless I absolutely have to!

So, I have been getting stampy and inky with some of my favourite stamps - Waltzingmouse Stamps! I have a lot less time than I used to for creating and blogging, and if I'm honest, I haven't felt very crafty either. So I took a bit of time over a couple of evenings this week to re-aquaint myself with my stamps.

The Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge has a beautiful colour scheme for us to try, some of my favourite colours too. My intention was to create a couple of little cards, but once I had started, I couldn't stop! I have 6 cards to show you in this post, and another two waiting to dry, I'll post them a bit later along with some pics of our wrecked garden!

The inks I used for these cards are a mixture of Memento Paris Dusk, Nautical Blue, Teal Zeal, Sweet Plum, Lulu Lavender, Distress Ink Dusty Concorde and Stampin' Up! Wisteria Wonder.

I have used Folk Art Medallion and You're a Doll sets for my images, and the sentiments are either from these two sets, and Big Day Today and Compact Sentiments. For my first card I have stamped the Russian Doll and flowers cut using the co-ordinating dies, the sentiment I hand cut. I used some patterned paper from Trimcraft, and just layered them on top.

These flowers are my favourites!

My next card features the frame, and the sweet sentiment from Compact sentiments. Teal gems around the frame give it a bit of glam!

My next card features those lovely flowers, but second stamped to get a softer look.I added a few grey pearls to some of the bigger flowers for a bit of elegant lustre.

This next card is one of my favourites, I just love that leafy scroll, and the patterns you can create with it. I added purple gems to the flower centres for some sparkle!

Next, I created a medallion using different elements from Folk Art medallion.

My next card has the pretty floral scroll used twice to create a frame, love it! I added some gems for some sparkle to the floral centres.

And here they are all together!

Right, I'm off to check the other two cards have dried and take some pics!

Great cards, you have been busy.

You were lucky with the wind Pauline that it didn't do much else, it has been so awful, we had a large choisya shrub cut in half, so we are lucky too.
