So I have represented the clouds I can see this morning, and the drizzle that we have too!
I tried a new to me technique with some gilding wax and distress inks. First I applied a little bit of silvery wax onto my craft sheet, and added 2 drops of Distress re-inker in Stormy Sky. I then spritzed with water and then mixed together. Then I smooshed some cardstock through it. The wax didn't have the effect I was looking for so I added some silvery pigment powder and spritzed again. I left this to dry for an hour or so, to ensure it was completely dry.
Then I ran this piece through my cuttlebug with the clouds embossing folder by Sizzix. To get some more sheen on, I gently rubbed some more of the wax over the raised clouds.
I attached this piece to some silver mirri card and attached to a plain card base. I stamped the sentiment in London Fog, and stencilled the raindrops with Weathered Wood. For a bit more sparkle, I added some glossy accents to the raindrops, and a bit of glamour dust.
I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

Love the smooshed panel and the embossed clouds! Super sentiment too!
Very creative technique, and a great way to put a positive vibe onto this grey weather! Fab LIM entry!
You've created such an effective sky there! It's been grey here too today after so much sunshine this week it's quite disappointing but at least you found a way to make a very pretty card out of it! Lou x (Guest Designer at LIM)
Oh my! That's a wonderful effect that you did on the panel Pauline; just perfect to represent a watery sky. The sentiment is a brilliant match too. I hope you get some sun soon though.
