Art Deco Elagance..

 Happy sunny Sunday all! What a beautiful weekend we are experiencing here in the U.K! This morning I made a card for the Rick St. Dennis Facebook Group challenge, which is anything goes, and runs out on the 21st May.

I have used the very beautiful and elegant lady called Deco la Scala 1931.  I coloured her with Promarkers a little while ago, and finally got round to getting her onto a card today.

I have used some Art Deco style papers from Docrafts, and used Art Deco style dies from Spellbinders for the side accents, corners and little sentiment label. The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Putting on the Ritz set, a suitably Art Deco themed stamp set.

For some extra sparkle, I added some black gems to the corners, and as the papers are foiled I left it at that.

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop!

Hi all, I'm here today with some cards for a new release over at Serendipity Stamps. This week has seen the release of some fabulous new dies, some words and a lovely frame set.

For my first creation I have made a baby card. 

 For this card I have used the following dies: Solid Heart Outline die, Baby die, and the corner frames from Floral Frames and Embellishments set.

There is one bigger half frame die, and a smaller corner  which I have used here.

 The pretty papers are from a Tilda stack, and flowers are from my stash.

 For my next card, I have made a card that could be used for a student finishing their studies, or beginning new studies, or someone on a new career path!

For this card I have used the following dies: Dream, Floral Frame &  Embellishments dies, and the Solid Heart Outline die.

 The fonts for these word dies are beautiful aren't they? And the floral frame is set to become a staple in my little box of dies.

I cut the little butterfly and dragonfly (they match the larger dies too), and cut a second one of each and trimmed the wings to layer on top.

For my next card I have made a greeting card, for general use, a Hello to someone you haven't seen for a while, or miss.

For this card I used the frames from Floral Frames and Embellishments set, Hello die, Owl die and Solid Owl die, and the Pumpkin die.

The elegant papers are from a Creative Expressions paper stack.

Serendipity Stamps Challenge #31- Flowers

Hi all, this month over at Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog the theme is flowers, so any creation including a Serendipity Stamps die or image either of flowers or with flowers!

here's my creation, a little card using an Alphabet Floral tile, and I have stamped the background using the Fern Lg image.

 I matted the images with some green card, and added some green gems for a bit of sparkle!

Pacifica

Hi all, I'm sharing a card today, using a beautiful mermaid image from Rick St. Dennis called Pacifica. I have recently discovered Rick St. Dennis' artwork, and I have fallen in love with them big time!! He has something to suit all tastes, and my favourites are his elegant ladies, and beautiful mermaids.  She is absolutely beautiful, and I couldn't wait to colour her in. I used Promarkers and Flexmarkers  to colour her.

I hand trimmed her out, and cut a frame backing from some Prima papers and plain green card using my new Tonic dies. I then cut a rectangular panel of the Prima paper, and layered some hessian and gold flecked lace.

The little fishes I cut from some Webster's Pages paper, and the 'seaweed' is leafy trim from The Ribbon Reel, as is the hessian ribbon.

The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!, and to finish off the card, I added lots of pearls and some sparkly gems. If I had some little shells or something sea themed in my stash I would have added them, so something for me to go and buy haha!

Serendipity Stamps Blog Hop

Hi all, I'm here this morning with a card featuring a new stamp from Serendipity Stamps. All the Design Team are featuring the newest range of stamps today, and I am showing off this fabulous 'Hello World' stamp, which is a large one, big enough to cover a whole card.

I simply stamped it in Raspberry Adirondack ink, and layered with some raspberry pink card, wrapped with some matching thin ribbon.

Swan Masque

Hi all, it's been a while since I last blogged here, tpo be honest I'm struggling with my creativity at the moment. I'm into my colouring with my promarkers, and i just gotr myself some Distress Markers, which are taking a bit of getting used to!

So I coloured this amazing image from Rick St. Dennis a little while ago, and I finally made her into a card for a Facebook Challenge on the Rick St. Dennis group.  There are so many images to look at there, for all kinds of tastes. There are some fab Halloween images, and some are sooo spooky, but of course my favourites are his elegant ladies. And this is one:

She is called Swan Masque,  and I coloured her with Promarkers, and spent more time on the Swan head dress than her hair! Such a fabulous image to colour, as are all of his images.

I teamed her with some Papermania paper and some new dies, from Sue Wilson and Spellbinders. As usual, I had trouble extricating my card from the Spellbinder die, so I tried again with the Cut Rite wax paper, and it worked like a dream. But they still annoy me! No other die I have ( and I have a few from several different companies) give me this trouble.

As the dies were quite intricate and detailed, I just added some sparkly gems to the corners, and left it at that.

SSCB #30 - Shades of Grey

Hi all, I'm here today with a card for this month's Serendipity Stamps Challenge Blog. This month the theme is Shades of Grey, and the Design team have been asked to create something that means something to us!

I am a coffee addict. I can't start the day without at least two large cups of coffee. And I love meeting up with friends for a gossip with a coffee! So I chose to use this lovely image from the Table for Two cling set.

 I used some grey patterned papers as a background, and cut a fancy border in silver mirri card, which I layered onto some dark grey card.

I stamped the image in London Fog, and cut using a fancy circle die, then layered this onto some dark grey scalloped card. The grey twill bow was created using the ribbon from my Mother's Day bouquet, which we celebrated here in the U.K last Sunday.

Inside I stamped the matching sentiment, and added a pearl brad to the bow.

 And finally I added some punched butterflies and some metallic chrome gems.
