Christmas Challenge - Serendipity Stamps.

I have used the beautiful Poinsettia Basket, stamped in Versamark, and gold embossed, coloured with Promarkers.

The patterned paper is from Kaiser, and the sentiment is also Serendipity Stamps.

CR84FN #66 Wk 2

Good morning all, it's week two of our challenge at CR84FN, with these cool crisp colours! I have made a New Year Card - not everyone celebrates Christmas, but most cultures celebrate the passing of the old year and bringing in the new!

I have used a Serendipity Stamps sentiment May The New Year Bring You Joy, stamped onto kraft card in Brilliance silver ink and clear embossed, cut with Nestabilities Labels 14. I then layered this onto a cream Spellbinders die cut doily, and added some clear gems for some sparkle.

I then created the card base with some K&Co Christmas papers, embossed the top half in Swiss Dots and stitched to a kraft card panel. I then added some silver pleated satin ribbon and Ivory Pom Pom trim from The Ribbon Reel and some clear gems on a wavy roll. Finally I added a Light Mocha Beige Cherry Blossom and button twine bow from The Ribbon Reel. I then attached this to a naturals Ivory card base.

WMSC # 122

Good morning all, today I have a card for the new Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge. I have missed it the last couple of weeks, so this morning, I took some time out to get creative with my favourite stamps!

This week's sketch is a cracker, designed by Renee Lynch, one of the Mischief Makers.

 And here's my take:

 I thought I had better keep on with my Christmas cards - I only have half a dozen made, and I'm severely lagging behind!

I fancied using the fabric style border from French country for the scalloped edges in the sketch, so I white embossed two borders onto Crumb Cake card, and trimmed around one side of the floral design. I then distressed with some Pumice Stone and Frayed Burlap distress Ink.

I then stamped two labels from Very Vintage Christmas in Versamark and embossed one in detail silver and one in transparent green. I trimmed the sentiment from the silver label, and distressed with some more Pumice Stone, and attached with some pop dots.

I then layered this onto a silver embossed tag from Opera Tags - I thought it matched the wonderful label perfectly!

Then I embossed in the green a design from the 'Secret' stamp set down the middle of my Crumb Cake card base, all the way over and down the back. I then liberally distressed with Pumice Stone and Walnut Stain.

Inside I stamped the greeting from Compliments of the Season onto a distressed piece of Naturals ivory card in Frayed Burlap, and a couple of the little flourishes in Cottage ivy green.

Finally I added a Chalk White seam binding bow that I had pounced some Frayed Burlap ink over to give it a slightly distressed look, and tied it with some Natural button twine threaded with three mini silver jingle bells.

I really enjoyed making this Christmas card, I have used five sets here and they match seamlessly, which definitely soothes my OCD complex for matching sets lol!

Speaking of which, I cannot wait until my new goodies arrive in the post from the WMS new release! I can't wait to get my hands on the Very Vintage Background, and team it with the heart from V.V. Christmas!

DYSU #96 - Brads



Hi all, today I have a card for a blog friend who has recently lost someone dear, and this card is on it's way to her.

At DYSU this week we have one very generous sponsor, Market Street Stamps. All the D.T were given a choice of stamp sets to pick, and I chose Comforting Florals.





I stamped the vase and hydrangea heads in London fog ink, and coloured with Promarkers.

I cut using an oval Nestie, and sponged some Frayed Burlap ink whilst still in the die. I did the same with the sentiment too. 

 I then took some lavender Core'dinations card, and embossed with my new Stampin' Up! embossing folder, and sanded back to reveal the core. I then wrapped some Lucky Limeade thin chiffon ribbon around this and added three large pearl brads. Finally I mounted this onto some Naturals Ivory card stock, and stamped the inside with 'Deepest Condolences' from the stamp set.

The Ribbon Reel, & a Sad Farewell..

Good morning all,  it's a new challenge over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge today, chosen by me! I have chose the theme of Rainbow colours - I saw this fab pic on Pinterest and I just loved it!

I can't wait to see what you all create, as this is a bit of a sad day for me - this will be my last challenge here at The Ribbon Reel as a designer. I am starting a new job in a week's time, and I know that I will not have as much time to devote to my hobby of crafting as I have done, so I made the sad decision to step down. I will hopefully still be able to participate in the challenge, and will certainly stop by my old teamies to see their inspiring work. I just want to thank Keilly for giving me the chance to join her fabulous team, my very first Design Team, and for providing such wonderful inspiration to us all.

I had this gorgeous image Butterfly Fairy printed out from A Day For Daisies for a little while, and hadn't yet used. So, I spied her today, looking at me me reproachfully, and I thought, yes, a rainbow fairy!

I coloured her with Promarkers, and layered her onto a couple of Spellbinders die cut doilies. I then wrapped some Celery Green Stripe Grosgrain and some (slightly obscured!) Guipure Lace from The Ribbon Reel shop around some embossed framed Crumb Cake card.

I then added a mixture of flowers. The Yellow Hybrid Tea Roses , Violet Cherry Blossom and Red Roses are from the Ribbon Reel shop. The blue roses, pearl beads, resin flowers and gems are from my stash. The little leaves are a Spellbinders die cut.  I added some Leaf Pins and a Natural Button Twine bow, both from The Ribbon Reel shop. Finally I added some glamour dust to the lovely image and the flowers, and the sentiment from Uniko Studios.

CR84FN #66

Morning all! Today we have another beautiful colour combination over at CR84FN! The Colours in the inspiration graphic are Grey, Tan and cream. Such an elegant combination! I decided to make a proper start on my Christmas cards as we are nearly into November (EEK!) where does the time go?

 I have used some beautiful stamps from Serendipity Stamps, Snowflake Flourish Cling set. I just thought these elegant colours went well with these elegant images.

I have used a Crumb Cake card base, and stamped the snowflake onto some Naturals Ivory S.U! cardstock in Versafine smoky Grey, and distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz distressing tool, and Antique Linen ink. I then layered this onto some grey Core'dinations card, also distressed with my little T.H. tool.

I then layered together and wrapped some Silver Satin ribbon and Antique Gold Velvet ribbon both from The Ribbon Reel shop.

I created the label using the Serendipity Stamps sentiment stamped in Sahara Sand, and framed with Crumb Cake using my new Sissix Decorative Framelits #2 set. Again I inked around the edges with Antique Linen. Around the very edge of the frame I ran a thin line of Glossy Accents and sprinkled some glamour dust over.

The three cream and tan blossoms are from The Hobby House, tied together with a thin grey satin bow, topped with some more glamour dust.

Here's a close up of these pretty snowflake flourishes. I added some cream pearls for that all important lustre.

Finally I added some clear gems to the sentiment label for a little bit of twinkle. Well, it is (almost) Christmas!

DYSU #95 - Embossing Wet or Dry

Hi all, today I have a card for this week's new challenge at DYSU, using embossing as our theme. Either wet or dry, and I chose to incorporate both in my card today.

 I have used my lovely new Embossing folder from Stampin' Up!, embossed onto some Not Quite Navy card. I cut to size, and clear embossed the S.U! sentiment using Versamark Dazzle in champagne, so in the light it shimmers.

 Inside I stamped the sentiment again in Midnight Muse ink onto some very Vanilla cardstock, all from stampin' Up!, and layered onto the Not Quite Navy card.

Finally I added some clear gems to the patterned embossed area and under the sentiment.
