Less is More wanted a masculine themed card, which, quite frankly, left me quaking in my boots! Sorry, but I find it very hard to do men's cards, as from personal experience, they either don't care or prefer a humorous or rude card lol!
Anyhow, I made a get well card in what I think are masculine colours. I didn't want to use black or brown, as many people have already done that, so hopefully this will fit the bill.

I have used a Martha Stewart punch on some new paper I bought last week when I treated myself - it's from a new paper stack by Wild Rose Studio called Cherry Cupcake. I love their papers and I have most of their paper stack and a number of their stamps, but I don't get round to using them as much as I should! Layered this zig zag strip onto another piece cut using some rich plum Core'dinations card.
The sentiment is by Waltzingmouse Stamps Asian Gardens set in Memento Grape Jelly.
I felt it looked a little bare, so I added some candy dots in co-ordinating colours by Craftwork Cards.

This version is my personal favourite, what do you think?
Thanks for stopping by,
Pauline xx

Both are great - how could you choose?! The one without dots is simply elegant while the dotty one is fun ... I love them both!

"Less is More"
Love the second card it looks more finished somehow
What a great masculine card! I love the colors! I like both cards...either one is great!
I love this card - its so stylish and the punch works perfectly for a masculine card. Would never have thought to use them just on their own. I prefer the version with the candy - just makes it pop.
"I didn't want to use black or brown, as many people have already done that..." Kudos to you! Not so easy for a masculine card - but you did it with panache. Dots give it just a bit more - and still CAS. Both are great!
Pauline - love the papers and the punched borders are perfect! And I'm in for the candy too!
Beautiful card. Great colours.
Hi Pauline . . .thanks for visiting. I like the card alot . . . but if I had to choose out to the 2 versions, I think I'd go for the 2nd one (with the candy dots). Scrumptious!
Hugs, Sandra
wonderful card!
Great colour scheme and the dots just finish it off. x
Yep, the one with the brads balances (in a triangle) your card - awesome creation!

What a great card! I love the pattern and the colours and think it makes a perfect male card. I don't think it even needs the dots!
I think the candy dots really make it pop, great colours used, and you're right, it's too easy to reach for the darker colours for masculine cards. Well done for stepping outside of that!
Hugs
Brenda

LOVE the zigag and the circles in the right corner! Brilliant effect! :)
Hi Pauline, I love both but the dots add an elegant touch to your lovely card and that sentiment is one of my favs. (think it's the font Claire used)
Hello Pauline, I love the colours you've used on your masculine card, I think Joanne put it very well any sentiment would do because it's so stylish:0)
