Less is More, Merediths Birthday Bash!!

Hi all, Today I have a sweet Easter card made for a few challenges.

Less is More, which want 3 squares on your CAS project, and a coulour inspiration on Merediths blog A delightful Waste of Time. It's Meredith's Blogaversary, and by way of celebration she is have a challenge every day, with the chance of winning a prize for a random participant at the end of the week. See the details HERE. And Papertake Weekly, where anything goes.

Ok, so here's the colour inspiration:

And here's my take, keeping it clean and simple, with 3 squares:

The light here is very bad today, and this is the pic taken in my light tent, but I only have a light on one side! So the colours look quite dull, but they are lovely and much brighter IRL!!

I have taken some pics in natural light as a comparison, which I'll show at the end of this post.

Card base is white linen, and I have cut 3 squares using Nestabilities Squares in some pink polka dot paper from Craft Creations.

Then twice stamped the 3 different large egg stamps from Spring Baskets by Waltzingmouse Stamps.

If you're a regular visitor here, you will know that I use WMS a LOT - I am new to stamping, and through Claire's blog and then her company, I took the plunge into stamping. I had never EVER done any stamping before this, so it's thanks to Claire and her wonderful DT team that inspired me to do this! But I digress...

I coloured the eggs using Promarkers ( I have made a list but it's very long) and decoupaged them up onto some very slim foam dots.

Layered eggs onto the polka dot squares, assembled card with red and green bakers twine and jute twine, stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set 3 times on a strip of white linen card and layered up.

Then added glossy accents and Glamour Dust for some sparkle.

So here are some pics taken in our so-called daylight!

Oh, I don't know which I prefer!

What do you think?

Here's a list of the Promarkers used for you UK/European visitors:

Ivory, Blush, Vanilla, Pear Green, Moss, Marsh Green, Hot Pink, Crimson, Carmine, Poppy, Pale Pink, Rose Pink, Cocktail Pink. I bought all my Promarkers from local craft shop Flutterby Crafts, which also has an online shop The Mulberry Bush.

The twine is from The Ribbon girl, I'm almost running out, so need to put in a new order!

So, that's me done for this evening lol! Sorry it's been a bit of a long post! I do value your comments, and appreciate you taking time out of your busy day to stop by, MWAH!!

Oh, it's GORGEOUS!!! I just ordered this set, and might have to copy your glossy accents idea, because what an impact! I feel the very same way towards Claire and her team - I was a devoted stampin up girl till I found WMS, and I've never looked back - she's opened up a whole new stamping world to me! Thank you so much for all your support Pauline :)

That's gorgeous - the eggs really look very round and 3D, wow!

And The Ribbon Girl is my favourite source of twine and ribbon in the UK, too.
