Jay Gee's Nook

Morning all, today I have a card for a new to me challenge Jay Gee's Nook. I found it last night whilst blog hopping and avoiding the ironing :-)

I love the colour purple, and the inspiration pic is a dream:

And here is my take:

I made this card using a white linen card base, and layered some puple patterned paper with some deep purple bazzill. Then using a circular CB folde, embossed a piced of white linen card and distressed with Dusty Concorde and Milled Lavender distress inks.

Then cut and layered a couple of panels, and used an EK Success punch and CB folder and some Dusty concorde for some dimension. Added some grey pearls to some of the larger punched out holes.

I created the little flower using felt, and the little butterfly has had some glossy accents added for a bit shine.

Finally stamped the sentiment using Waltzingmouse Stamps Fancy Phrases and added some gems.

I made this card a little while ago, and had not blogged it - then seeing the inspiration pic I remembered I had it in my stash, I hope that's allowed!

Thanks for stopping by today,

Pauline xx

Oh Pauline! Your card is beautiful. You know purple people are likely the only people to just happen to have a purple card on hand. ;) I love the idea of using so many shades of purple and distressing. I'm a big fan of that technique. I am so glad you stumbled upon this one. I mentally gasped when I saw the inspirational photo. You know purple is a favorite of mine also. I think I may have to join in on this challenge.
