The Ribbon Reel Challenge 12 Big Witch Off!!

Morning all, today brings us another bi-weekly challenge from The Ribbon Reel. We have a fab inspiration picture set by Debbie Marcinkiewicz, autumnal colours with ribbon or twine.

I have made a matching card and treat bag with the theme of two arguing witches using some Waltzingmouse Halloween stamps and some pretty paper from Teresa Collins World Traveller paper stack.

For my card I have cut a panel of paper from the World Traveller stack, and layered it together with some patterned paper I stamped using the bat wreath motif from Hocus Pocus by Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Then using Winnie the witch from Halloween Party Stamp set, stamped her twice in Tuxedo Black, and fussy cut round her. I then turned one of the witches over, and coloured her in using a black Promarker, then did the same with the other witch to keep the colour the same. So I have 2 opposing witches - my original idea was to have them both on the same card, casting spells at each other, but they wouldn't fit!

So I mounted Winnie onto a stamped oval, hand cut out (must get the co-ordinating Spellbinders for this stamp set!) and attached some ruffled Ambrosia seam binding behind the oval frame.

Layered this onto some Lace and Bakers Twine and attached to the card. The sentiment is also from Hocus Pocus, and is layered onto some doily distressed with Tea Dye and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks.

Added a paper rose from The Ribbon Reel, layered onto a seam binding triple bow and Bakers Twine, and added some stickles to the rose. Finally added some more stickles to Winnie's dress, shoes and hat, and some spider gems for fun!

As I had a spare witch, I thought I would decorate a paper treat bag, from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Created the oval label in the same way, and mounted this onto a paper bag.

Stamped the sentiment from Midnight Feast by WMS, and stamped in Tuxedo Black the gothic style text on the bag, then distressed with Tea Dye and Spiced Marigold inks.

Wrapped some twine around the top before adhering the sentiment label, and she's good to go!

I hope your feel inspired to join us this fortnight over at The Ribbon Reel, check my other teamie's designs, there are some real eye catching beauties to be seen!
