Serendipity Stamps - One Layer

Hi all, I have a couple of cards to share for this fortnight's Serendipity Stamps Blog hop. The Theme is One layer with ink.

I have made two cards, one with wet embossing, and one with a dry embossing technique with a die.

For my first card I used the stamp Midnight Clear, and used Versamark Dazzle ink, and clear embossed. There is a slight sheen to this ink, under the light, so very reminiscent of a frosty night.

The sentiment 'Merry Christmas' is stamped in Brilliance silver, and clear embossed.

My next card has been dry embossed with the Ornament Bauble die, then traced around the pattern with my glue stick and glittered with some glamour dust.

I added a little Peppermint baker's twine bow and silver jingle bells. The sentiment 'Tis The Season' is stamped in Memento Rhubarb Stalk.

The sale of the week at serendipity Stamps is for 20% off all the stamps in the Thanksgiving category - sale ends November 28!

Do visit the rest of the Serendipity Stamps Design Team for some more inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

Both cards look fabulous, Pauline. Beautiful stamping and embossing with EP on your first card, which looks like a winters night in a forest. I love how you dry embossed your bauble with a die on your second card and the lovely sentiment stamp, too:) x

These are so pretty Pauline...what good ideas for one layer cards. I love that sparkly embossing, it is just like I imagine a frosty night. The glamour dust on the ornament really makes it shine. Cute idea using the twine. Great job on a pretty tough challenge for crafters who like to add lots of "stuff" to our cards!

The embossing is beautiful Pauline! Makes the winter woods look magic, and I love the glittery ornament! So clever that you stayed with one layer but still added so much detail!

Wow! What a wonderful card. Simply elegant. I love the embossed Christmas buble and that gitter effect sends it over the top.
