Serendipity Stamps Challenge - Window

http://serendipitystampschallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/

Hi all, I'm here today with a card for a new challenge over at Serendipity Stamps! This month we would like to see your take on a window card, using your S.S dies or stamps of course! For your inspiration today, the Design Team have been asked to CASE a fellow teamie. I have cased Vickie Zimmer, I love her elegant style! Here is Vickie's card that I am CASE-ing:

For my patterned paper, I stamped some of the newly released Flowers from the Flower Pops set in Versamark onto some cream card. Then using some Distress inks, I sponged over the flowers to reveal the images.

I really love this method of emboss/resist technique, and it is a great way to personalise your own paper.

After I was happy with my sponging, I cut some card to size, and cut a circular window in it. I cut a blue frame using Spellbinders Circles and scalloped circles, and lay this around the window.

Then on some dark blue card I stamped in Versamark the Happy Mother's Day sentiment, and embossed with white powder.

I added some gems to the flower centres, and added a pink seam binding bow topped with a floral button and twine.

Do stop by the rest of the D.T for some more inspiration!
