I also made this for the week long birthday bash over on Meredith's blog - this was her first challenge, and I've been meaning to get round to it all week, but you know how life is - in the way!
This week LIM want pastels and Meredith's first challenge was for a birthday card.
This is a very serene card, the stamps are crisp and are so decorative in themselves need very little embellishment.
I have used Waltzingmouse Stamps Asian Gardens set, stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa, and Dewdrop chalk inks in Malted Mauve, Pink Petunia and Aspen Mist.
I have added Ice Stickles to the flower centres for some shimmer, but that's all it needed. I toyed with leaving the branch bird free, it would have worked well without it, but I thought I would add it in for good measure!

This is really lovely, Pauline. The colours are gorgeous, and I think you were right to add the bird. Compositionally, an odd number of elements look better than an even number, so with the branch, bird and sentiment you've made a beautifully balanced picture. Lynne x
