WMS Pajama Party #2

Hi all, remember me?? I've been missing in action for a loooong time - nothing serious or anything, just loads happening to my house and I had to pack my craft stuff away back in June!

We've had a conservatory built, and a new kitchen installed, as well as trying to decorate the whole of downstairs, and ripping up the flooring..sigh. Well, we still have a lot of decorating to sort and finish, flooring to still sort out, but the kitchen is finished, and the conservatory is almost almost done...just got a bit of glossing (actually lots!) and the small matter of wallpapering the wall!

So last month I completely missed out on the first Waltzingmouse Stamps Pajama party, which is replacing the previous Blog Waltzes.

Claire has introduced the idea of running 5 challenges at once - four of which run for 24 hours as we are given the details a couple of weeks in advance to prepare, and the 5th one is a sketch.

I obviously haven't been able to get at my stuff (mumble mumble), so my entry today is for the sketch, and thankfully it's a nice easy one lol!
I dragged all my craft stuff out, and searched for my newer sets from Claire - I still can't find my glue gun or score board, so I made the card base with my bare hands, I can improvise well lol!

Here's my make:

I used some polka dot paper from My Minds Eye, and cut the ovals using my nesties.

I used Not Quite Navy card for the mat, and stamped the feathers from Fine Feathers set in Certainly Celery, Gumball Green and Midnight Muse, hand cut them, and attached to the card.

I added a strip of Black Chevron Twill and Turquoise satin ribbon from The Ribbon Reel, and added a little bow to the feather cluster. Finally I added some Ice stickles to the feather spines and around the scallop edge.

Here are a few pics of the chaos I had to create in this morning, and why I haven't been around much ;-/

My craft stuff that I pulled out of the under stairs cupboard...

This will be my craft room, but need new flooring and furniture first!

 More crafty mess!!

The reason why! I didn't have a picture of the kitchen on this set of pics, so I will try to take some later.

Right, well I have a gazillion and one things to get on with, so that's all from me, until Monday when I'm back with a post for The Ribbon Reel Challenge, bye for now

Pauline

Your card looks fabulous, Pauline! Love those colours together, and your lovely stamped and fussy cut feathers.

Things look to be moving along nicely with your home improvements. The end results will be well worth the disruption it causes xx

What a stunning card Pauline - and made under tricky circumstances too! It all looks very exciting in your house but I can imagine that you're finding it challenging to say the least. Vicky x

Your place looks like it's coming together nicely. What a hassle pulling everything out - not much longer right? Gorgeous card - the glitter down the center of the feathers is magic!
