This is something I don't do very often, and really, I ought to do some of this type of thing. It's a great way of using up scraps, and left over pieces of ribbon for a smaller item, like the little jewellery box I have decorated today.

I have used papers from Echo Park's Victorian Garden, and the colour scheme has been taken from this week's CR84FN challenge of Yellow, Pink and Orange.

I have gone for slightly more subdued colours than shown in the graphic, so I hope that it still fits the challenge! The seam binding around the edge of the lid is Pale Chalk seam binding that I coloured with an Apricot Promarker, to get the shade I really wanted.

Foe the top of the altered box I have used a pale orange gardenia, mounted onto some twine loops and some loopy trim ribbon, all from The Ribbon Reel. I love this loopy trim, and I have used the very last of it in my stash, so I must get some more!

I have mounted the gardenia onto two folded over mini doilies, and a tag stamped with a WMSD sentiment in Spiced Marmalade Distress ink. Finally I added some orange gems and some yellow flat backed pearls.
This jewellery box was made for a special friend who is celebrating a rather special birthday, and earlier this week, I gave her present and a matching card in these colours:

I am entering this into CR84FN challenge, Allsorts Challenge and Crafty Catz:

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Very Vintage Christmas - Waltzingmouse Stamps
Inks: Distress Ink Spiced Marmalade
Paper: Echo park Victorian Garden
Ribbon: Chalk White Seam Binding, Loop Trim, Ivory Button Twine - The Ribbon Reel
Other: Orange Gardenia - The Ribbon Reel; Flat backed Pearls and gems from stash; Mini doilies - Flutterby Crafts
