WMSC 100!

Happy Monday All! I hope everyone in the U.K is enjoying their Bank Holiday, we have had a lazy day today - I've made a few cards, and the kids have been playing, cooking, and watching some Allo Allo - we got the first series on DVD last week, and I used to watch this programme on a Saturday evening when I was a child - it was very funny then, and is very funny now! The kids find the Picture of the Fallen Madonna with the big Boobies very funny, as kids do, and I have enjoyed watching a bit of nostalgic T.V! "Listen very carefully - I shall say zis only wernce!"

Anyway, I took some time out today to create for one of my favourite challenges - Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge.

The Mischief Makers are celebrating 100 challenges, and are offering a few goodies for the players this week - so get over there and get some mousey makes going on!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take, for my purposes, I have rotated the sketch 90 degrees:

I have used the very sweet Half Pint heroines set for this card, and paper pieced the balloon. This took me a bit longer than anticipated! However, I got there in the end! I used some lovely Cosmo Cricket papersTea For Two and some Spellbinders and Go Create dies.

I used some Promarkers to colour the little girl's hair and basket, and layered onto the Go Create die cut labels.

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the yellow rose panel layered onto the grenn patterned panel, before adhering to the card.

The crochet lace and pleated ribbon are from The Ribbon Reel, as are the cluster of flowers in the corner. I distressed all the edges, and added some gems to the sentiment circle, which is from Compact Sentiments.

I am entering this into the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by, I'm off to catch up on a bit more Rene, Yvette, Herr Flick and Helga nonsense!

Pauline
