PDCC 80

Hi all, today I have a card using the colours from this weeks Play Date Cafe challenge.

I have made a sympathy card for a very dear friend who has suffered the loss of her father and step-mother within 48 hours this week. So I thought the sunny colours would help to brighten her day (slightly) and I kept it clean and simple.

Here is the colour inspiration:

And here's my take:

Very simply, I have used a cuttlebug folder on some white core'dinations and edged with Versamagic Thatched Straw and Distress inks Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade.

Using Nestabilities Blossoms dies , cut some flowers in terracotta and orange coloured bazzill and a more golden glitter effect card, distressed them with my scissors and layered together with a metal brad.

The sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps Frame it set stamped in Memento Rich Cocoa, and edged in the same inks. Finished off with some gems and layered onto a kraft card base.

Thanks for stopping by

Pauline xx

A CAS card but it looks "warm" and thoughtful. I think your friend will love this card and get some comfort out of this beauty.

It's good to be here again; I have to catch up on your previous posts. I'll be back soon :)

My heart really goes out to your friend. How very tragic, and I just can't imagine. I do not like having to make sympathy cards, but a necessity sometimes. this is a great one, and will bring comfort in that her friend made this for her in a terrible time in her life.
