A Card for a Few Challenges!

Hi all, today I have a card for a few challenges. Having found my crafty mojo, I'm not letting it rest lol! Although I will have to get the ironing board out at some point today!

I have made another card for this week's fab Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge - the sketch is great, and can either be used in a CAS style or dressed up! Today, I've gone for the dressed up version!

I was inspired by a new card challenge 52 (Christmas )Card Throwdown to use a new stamp set from WMS, I got before christmas, but haven't used any of the sweet images in it. And the colours have come from this week's ColourQ Challenge.
I'm also entering this into Papertake Weekly Challenge, which is looking for Highlights - either Glossy Accents, Stickles or Decoupage - I have used decoupage! And Sandra, at Stamping for Pleasure has a little christmas themed fun going on at her blog - go check it out!





And here's my take:



I have used the lovely basket and poinsettia images from Bountiful Baskets set, coloured with my Staedtler Ergo soft Pencils. I stamped and coloured the poisettia image 3 times, and decoupaged up for lots of depth.



The background was stamped with Waltzingmouse Stamps Dainty Doilies Large, in Versamagic Spanish Olive, Pearlescent Red and Distress Ink scattered Straw onto some kraft card.




I created a mat layered base using some green and red Papermania textured card, wrapped some red baker's twine around the bottom, and attached a couple of Tiny Tags for the sentiment. I can't stop using these sweet tags from Papertrey Ink, I love them!


Finally I added some gold gems along the bottom of the petal point card and to the twine bow and star tag.

I'm off for a haircut and a good gossip now!
