CR84FN #46

Hi all, hope you're all having a great weekend! I have spent this morning tinkering with a card I started last night for the colour challenge at CR84FN.

Pink, yellow and neutral are such girly colours, so I thought I would use a stamp by My Favourite Things, called Fairy Jolinne, and coloured her in these pretty shades.

One of my New year's resolutions is to ink up stamps I've never used - I have a few! This little sweetie is one of them, and I must have bought her almost a year ago (hangs head in shame)!

The CR84FN Graphic:

And I have used this week's sketch from Sketch Saturday:

And here's my take:

I have used papers from Papermania, and stitched each panel before layering onto some pearlescent cream cardstock.

Fairy Jolinne has been coloured with Promarkers and hand cut before layering onto one of the panels.

Under the panel I attached some beautiful cream lace.

The sentiment panel was created using a Sissix die, one of my very first purchases when I got my Cuttlebug for Christmas 2 years ago. And again, ashamed to say I have never used it, apart from experimenting when I first bought it.

And today, I remember why I haven't used it since - it doesn't cut very well, and I wasted a LOT of yellow card before I gave up and used some thinner yellow paper. It cut ok, but was still difficult to extricate the words from the off cut.

The dressy bow was made with some pale pink sheer ribbon, from The Stamp Attic, and the tutorial for this can be found HERE at Jinny Newlin's blog, Soaring. It's very easy to do, and makes a fab embellishment. I added some pink bakers twine from The Ribbon Reel, and a pink Sparklet by Kaiser.

I am also entering this into the following challenges:

That's all from me today, but I'll be back tomorrow with my D.T card for a new challenge from The Ribbon Reel Challenge!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

Wowsers - stunning card Pauline! I thought at first glance "that's such a pretty fairy die-cut" but then I read you stamped and coloured her! Your shading is to-die-for ;)

Love the soft colour combo Pauline. Did you use a machine to stitch or did you hand stich coz it's ever so neat! Love the pink sparklet.
