CAS-ual Fridays and CR84FN

Hi guys, today I have a card for a couple of challenges, CR84FN, and CAS-ual Fridays.

The colour combo at CR84FN is gorgeous, and I couldn't wait to play along. For inspiration I followed the sketch over at CAS-ual Fridays:

When I saw the sketch, I knew immediately the stamp set I wanted to use, but was stuck on the colour combo, until the new CR84FN challenge yesterday.

This has turned out exactly as I wanted it to except for a couple of things - I boobed by stamping the sentiment slightly too high to where I needed it to be. So I'm a tad grumpy about this card, chiefly because I had an ATG gun disaster, which took me over an hour to fix! Grrr! So when I stamped the sentiment I probably rushed it, and also stamped the wrong way up so it didn't fit the space I was using blah blah! So, it may not win any prizes, but I made it, so I'm blogging it! Hah!

The set is a new one from Hero Arts, and I've been dying to use this little monster, with her beautiful big eye!

I stamped her onto Kraft twice, and coloured with Promarkers, cut one out and layered onto the other one. Then stitched this panel to some pale blue card.

I randomly stamped the circular sentiment in Smokey Grey onto Kraft card, and some little hearts in Rosebud Pink in between.

I stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo Black before adhering the monster panel to the base, gnashed my teeth when I realised it wasn't stamped in the right place, then stuck it on anyway!
Attached this to a petal point card base and added the pink rhinestones on the edges.
Finally added a heart shaped balloon coloured with red Promarkers.

I may re-make this again tomorrow, but for today, this'll do!

Thanks for stopping by,

Pauline

I don't think it looks nearly as bad as you think... it turned out fine! If you hadn't mentioned it, I might not have even noticed that your sentiment was a bit high! Nice work! I think you used the sketch to perfection!
